Some web sites for which ERACC Internet Development has done work:
This is a sample list, not exhaustive.
- www.jacksonmobilphone.com - Jackson Mobilphone Company is a mobile phone and alpha-numeric, message and voice pager business located in Jackson, Tennessee USA. The web site is incomplete and has turned out to be a long-term, ongoing project developing slowly. This was the first project ERACC Internet Development took on. It uses some CGI and is primarily a project to implement e-mail message paging. The message paging involves taking an e-mail message and converting it via custom software to a format that a Glenayre paging terminal can use. The CGI work was done to do the same thing using a web form. The internet server is connected to the Glenayre with a serial cable and the custom software converts the e-mail and "talks" to the Glenayre.
- www.redlineg.com - Red Line Gauge & Clock Repair is a gauge and clock repair business specializing in General Motors® vehicle gauges and clocks for more than 24 years. Red Line is located near Humboldt, Tennessee USA. This is a static site to display their catalog online. The online catalog does not include all makes and models of GM® vehicles that Red Line services. The latest incarnation of this site was done by one of the owners. I simply helped her fix a few problems that her Micro$oft $oftware had created, helped her get their logo on the pages and get the result uploaded.
- www.ladonnabellasalonandspa.com - La Donna Bella Salon & Day Spa is a site that was originally created using some poorly designed templates by a third party. It also resides on a "simple" web management site for Spas that is not really all that simple. So the Spa owner asked ERACC Internet Development (ERACCID) to clean it up and add content. As of April 2007 ERACCID is about half-way done with the changes as we only have a small budget for each month from the site owner. Unfortunately cleaning up the poorly designed pages is time consuming and really "eats up" the time alloted. In any case using Firefox or Opera web browsers to view the site one can see the fixed pages that render properly versus the poorly designed pages that only render in Micro$oft Internet Exploder. ERACCID relied heavily on HTML tidy to find some of the problems with these pages. Other problems were design related that required examining the code line by line to find where the rendering was going awry. This is still a work in progress as of January 2008.
- www.zodiacbeverages.com - Zodiac Beverages, now out of business due to poor management, was a reverse osmosis (aka hyperfiltration) water bottling company located in Jackson, Tennessee USA. Zodiac Beverages had ERACC custom build their in-house Linux internet gateway/firewall - e-mail - web server and install their internal wired and wireless network. ERACC implemented end-user mail with SquirrelMail that runs on the Apache web server. When bidding out the web site development the owners of the company went with the lowest bidder (not ERACC) and did not get a good development result. ERACC was then called in to repair the broken JavaScript and web forms that had been poorly designed and created to work only on a Micro$oft IIS web server. Since this web server was running Apache the forms would not work. ERACC installed the nms-formmail processor that is written in Perl and rewrote the forms to use nms-formmail. ERACC still has this site on our development server and can provide a demo if requested.
