SCSI, SATA and/or EIDE at 30GB or larger (we prefer SCSI)
Other Controllers:
Adaptec (SCSI and Firewire)
3Com NICs (network interface cards)
Other Devices:
USB thumb drives for "sneaker net" when needed
Canon CanoScan LiDe 30 USB scanner (this model is no longer available)
Epson LQ-570+ ESC/P2 impact printer (shared via CUPS. Printer no longer available, replacement model is LQ-590)
Video:
Varies but is usually nVidia
Monitor, Keyboard & Mouse:
Varies with usual parts being
Operating System(s):
Usually Mandriva Linux Desktop (May be another open source operating system shown here)
ERACC tries to keep at least one eComStation desktop
Desktops:
One of: All of these may be installed and users may choose a preferred workplace at login.

GnuCash (free accounting for SOHO which may be replaced with SQL-Ledger in the future)
OpenOffice.org (free office suite - word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, etcetera)

Kontact PIM (includes e-mail, calendar, contacts, to-do list, etcetera)
Firefox, Konqueror and Opera web browsers
Kopete instant messenger
Xchat IRC client
Utility Software:
Gkrellm system monitors
Networking:
TCP/IP over Ethernet
NFS client (Network File System - file sharing the *n?x way)
Xvnc client (remote desktop for *n?x, AN EXAMPLE)
Ethernet LAN (D-Link switches, category 5 cabling)
ADSL WAN (D-Link DI-604 router with bridged Westell Wirespeed modem)
