Thank you for using ERA Computers & Consulting (ERACC) to clean and/or repair your Microsoft based computer system. If your Microsoft based system was cleaned from a malware infection ERACC strongly recommends considering an alternative and safer operating system -- such as a Linux distribution.

Depending on the service chosen you may have some "free" applications on your PC provided by ERACC. If these were not installed, we recommend you get and use them in place of the Microsoft software they would replace. These are:

• LibreOffice Suite - A "free" Office Suite that can replace Microsoft Office in many cases.
• Firefox Web Browser - A "free" web browser with hundreds of "add-ons" and "plugins" available. ERACC recommends this over Microsoft Internet Explorer. We also recommend these add-ons:
  • NoScript add-on - A security add-on for Firefox that blocks web scripts by default. One "trains" it to "know" which sites scripts are "okay". By blocking web scripts by default NoScript stops malicious scripts from running in your browser, making this an excellent security add-on.
  • Flashblock add-on - Blocks Flash content by default. You can choose which Flash content to view and bypass annoying Flash advertisements.
• Thunderbird E-mail - A "free" e-mail application from Mozilla, the same group that provides Firefox.
