Internet Hot Spots
What is an Internet Hot Spot? An Internet Hot Spot is a location outside of one's own home or business where one may use a notebook computer or other network capable device to get an internet connection. Internet Hot Spots are typically wireless but may also include wired connections. Hot Spots may also be configured for "free" access, such as in a restaurant alongside an interstate highway to draw in customers, or paid access, such as in a hotel where customers pay by the hour to use the hotel's internet access.
ERACC is an Internet Hot Spot hardware and configuration provider using various off-the-shelf hardware and/or custom built Linux based Hot Spot servers. ERACC sells the hardware and can also provide on-site setup including configuration of the internet connection, cabling, etc. A Hot Spot can be configured with a public access LAN, paid or "free", and a private access LAN both using the same internet connection.
