*Java Plugin:*
We are updating IcedTea-Web Java plugin to version 1.5. This version will bring a lot enhancements and stability. We hope to have a new beta available within some days.

*Flash Plugin:*
We plan to work on the flash plugin very soon. The planned features are available here <svn.ecomstation.nl/flash10/query>.

*Qt4:*
We imported the vendor source 4.8.6 to our repository. We are right now discussing, if we should do a Qt 4.8 release. We think the time needed it not that much and could make sense. As Qt 5 is for sure needed, but with all the work we have right not not the most important part. So stay tuned for more news on the Qt front.

SeaMonkey 2.21b1 and Thunderbird 24.8.1

eComStationNews.com - Sun, 20141102 - 18:18 -0600

I've uploaded new builds of SeaMonkey 2.21 and Thunderbird 24.8.1 to hobbes. Based on the same code as the Bitwise release of Firefox 24.8.1 and have the same issues including lack of HTML 5 sound which I believe was forgotten to be mentioned.
Issues should be checked with Firefox 24.8.1 to see if they are in the Gecko code or not.
Thanks to Bitwise for their work on Firefox and help for me to compile.

Live video streaming of Warpstock 2014

eComStationNews.com - Fri, 20141024 - 06:00 -0600

Couldn't make Warpstock this year? You can still catch the live video stream on ustream.tv. Just point your Flash-enabled browser to:

www.ustream.tv/channel/warpstock

Mobile devices and streaming media adapters are also supported.

You'll need a Windows, Linux, or Mac browser with a newer Flash plugin than eCS currently has in order to view the stream from a desktop or laptop.

For links to Google Play and the App Store for Android and iOS devices, visit Ustream.TV's apps page.

For Roku users, add the private Nowhere Stream channel with channel code IN4DN (remember to refresh your channels on your device after adding the private channel online). If you need assistance adding a private channel to your device, see this support article.
